The SMS group has a staff of efficiently able cargo surveyors, adjusters, and engineers who handle the company's broad range of inspection, surveying, adjustment and other related services. These services are as follows:

- Inspection & Survey. The service covers survey and inspection of loss, damaged and/or non-damaged goods in transit, delivered, or at warehouse, and other properties. This operation is undertaken to establish the condition of the commodity upon arrival or prior to its delivery, ascertain the extent and cause of loss and/or damage, and if probable, determine the responsible parties/bailees who may be found liable therefor. It offers to document the loss and/or damage sustained, and substantiates the claim against concerned party. For shipments in bulk, inspection includes examination for cleanliness before loading of facilities nominated for storage or transfer to prevent contamination and dryness after discharging to ensure that the entire shipment was delivered. Hull and Condition Survey of vessels, Tank Calibration, and Cargo Checking also form part under this service.

- Superintendence Of Loading & Discharging. Purposely, this particular service provides the requesting party material information and control such as handling of goods per stage of transit covered by the attendance, status of operation, and identification and specifications of the product under survey thru sampling and analysis. The clients are accordingly notified of any anomalies and/or discrepancies for proper course of action.

- Determination Of Quantity/Weight & Quality. Did you receive and/or distribute the correct quantity of the product you ordered and/or delivered? Are you sure of the quality of material you ordered and/or received conforms to your specifications? This service ensures correctness of quantity and verifies the quality recorded. The quantity and quality of products imported, exported, or locally distributed to and/or from concerned party are ascertained and therefore controlled.

- Insurance Adjustment/Claims Investigation & Appraisal. Under licensed by the Insurance Commission, SMS serves as an independent claims adjusters on behalf of the insurer for adjustment of properties in all lines, e.g. fire, marine, and casualty. Each division is well supervised. The President with his technical panel of licensed engineers handles the Fire and Marine Division, while the Casualty & Recovery Division is being handled by its Legal Counsel. All are maintained under the company's current payroll. The reportorial staff and team of report composers on Fire, Marine and Casualty, and efficient computer secretaries are indispensable part of the organization. Likewise, SMS provides supervision of salvage for disposal. Property appraisal for insurance, mortgage, and other legal purposes also forms part under this service.
